Nobody said anything to the contrary.

I see a lot of Carbon in there, unlike in the NS port.

It's great to see people like it. This underscores my argument, namely that we
should make sure the official NS port benefits from it.

Absolutely. Again, I'm keen to see some of this work integrated.
That said, I'm not sure I would talk badly about the NS port.
Aquamacs 2.0 currently contributes about 2,500 very regular users of the NS
port (in its Aquamacs form running on a Mac, that is). If they weren't happy,
they wouldn't be using it.
I don't know how many people use the pure NS port.
