So you say that if people like the way the patches work and developers
here say it is not worth the efforts then I should ... do what?

I think it is. It is ok if you do not like it, but please do not
pretend that you know better.

If you think I am being unkind or that my arguments really are wrong
then I am glad if you tell me.
