calc is not hypothetical.  It already occupies the math- prefix.

math-e-cache is a variable defined in `calc-ext.el'.
Its value is 
(float
 (bigpos 9045 2845 2818 2718)
 -15)

math-e is a compiled Lisp function in `calc-ext.el'.
