MS-DOS, I think. But this should not be a problem, as we can move
src/config.in to msdos/config.in and the MS-DOS build can use
msdos/config.in instead. msdos/config.in can start off being a copy
of the old src/config.in but can be maintained by hand, as needed.
This would lessen the need for tight coupling between the mainline and
the DOS version.
If we can't do something like this, then I don't see the point of
removing 'configure' from the repository. 'configure' and
src/config.in must be kept in sync, and it'd be asking for trouble if
one is in the repository and the other is not.
