sendmail-query-once-function seems unnecessary |

Why does sendmail-query-once set/save sendmail-query-once-function
instead of send-mail-function? The latter seems to be the more
straightforward thing to do.
This is especially problematic because sendmail-query-once-function is
not a defcustom, and it's not good to save non-defcustomed variables
using customize-save-variable.
