If the trunk has merged everything from the emacs-24 branch (which will
be the case), then the "copy over" can be done with a plain normal
"push", i.e. without losing any history.
It might/will switch around some revisions from "on the main line" to
"on a branch" in the history of `emacs-24', so the `push' will need
append_revisions_only=False, but that's about it.
