Eli, he probably *was* measuring, although not as precisely as you
are since his stopwatch was implemented in impatience units rather
than seconds.

One potential point of confusion is that bzr does a good job of
concealing the fact that the repo may be on the other side of the
world, whereas in git the repo is always local (even with a shallow
clone).  If he was trying to get logs in a checkout, that would
explain why he "always" had to C-c.

Thierry, is that a possible explanation for your experience?
