Yes.

I did this just in case but "make -j" did not copy the necessary
files.

Here is what I used:

        % touch nextstep/Cocoa/Emacs.base
        % make maintainer-clean
        % ./autogen.sh
        % CFLAGS='-g3 -O0' ./configure --with-ns
        % make -j3 install
