This is absolutely fine by me, and basically what I had in mind when I
said:

   I think that in future there needs to be more of a culture of people at
   least trying to document their own changes, around the time they make
   them.

Not "document it right away", but "don't leave it 12 months till the
next release for some other sucker to do, while you go off and develop
the next shiny thing."
