Wrong.  Many people these days are using free software in corporate
environments where they need to get the new versions vetted by
corporate security.

You may not consider that a problem, but the people running those
sites do.

True.  So what?  It's a real effect, and your sneers aren't going to
affect their behavior.

Some problems are sufficiently severe that it's worth fixing them even
if it causes great inconvenience.  This one (as I understand it from
posts here) is not.
