Yes. That's what I was trying to say.

What I was also trying to say, and failed to say explicitly, is that
adding, for the benefit of the naive user (me in this case), a function
to toggle "colourisation" (IIRC color-mode was proposed) will not work
if it is just an alias for font-lock-mode.
