The first statement is invalid because it's not your call to make
about my posts, and the second two, though valid, are irrelevant to
this subthread.

Once again, the point of *my* posts in this subthread is that opinions
(and needs) differ, and therefore multiple applications (or output
formats) for viewing and indexing documentation may be beneficial.
Eli's argument may be persuasive because, after all, his proposals are
good for Emacs much of the time, and I wanted to point out that the
generalization from getting it exactly right for one person to doing
pretty well for everyone is logically invalid in this case.
