Then the quote translation won't have any meaningful impact on the observed behavior one way or the other.
But if it's such a problem, don't use quotes in the examples.
We should simply use strings that users will normally see as themselves, as that's the most intuitive and won't get in the way of the real topics there.
If you think the translation behavior is hard for a user to understand, why not revert the whole rigamarole? It doesn't add *that* much value.
