BTW, IIUC all those commits of yours are merges from the upstream Gnus
code, right?  If so, assuming it's more convenient for you, you can do
those commits on a local Bzr branch of yours, and then use "bzr merge +
bzr commit" on the trunk every once in a while.
The advantage being of course that you only suffer the slow sftp commit
when you do the "bzr merge + bzr commit" rather than for each
upstream commit.
