    * doc/auctex.texi (Adding Macros): Document `TeX-date-format'.
    
    * doc/changes.texi: Mention `TeX-date-format'.
    
    * latex.el (TeX-date-format): New customizable option.
    Suggested by Uwe Brauer.
    (TeX-arg-date): Use it.
