I get "egrep: Invalid range end" on Fedora 13 and works as expected on
Ubuntu 10.04 (pdf export works as expected here).

For me,

GNU grep 2.6.3 on Fedora 13  (fails)
GNU grep 2.5.4 on Ubuntu 10.04  (works)
