I suggest you try using a more recent version, either
through Git
~$ git clone git://orgmode.org/org-mode.git
~$ cd org-mode
~$ make
[And adjust your load-path accordingly...]
or by installing Org through GNU ELPA. See the manual
for detailed instructions.
