Hello David,
could you, please, produce a Tramp bug report (with `tramp-bug')? I do
need the information (variables and alike) from there.
And, if you don't mind, could you check whether it's the same problem
with the recent Tramp from CVS? I cannot reproduce your problem; from my
local host it seems to work (applying the same keystrokes as you did).
