I have no idea how to find the invalid data.

I had quite a lot of frames opened: *info*, a Perl-Script, *scratch*,
*Message*, a Makefile, and a *Summary* buffer of Gnus.

The Summary buffer was the one that was active.  The last thing that I
saw, was the message "garbage collection" in the minibuffer.  Now, all
frames are `empty' (no text, only the window title), as if I had sent
SIGSTOP to the process.  My window manager is fvwm1-1.24r with
focus-follows-mouse, so it's possible that the focus changed (during
GC).  (X version is XFree86 4.0.2.)

I'm sorry, if this information isn't helpful to debug the problem.  I
hope to be able to provide more useful information, if you give me
some instructions.
