gtk build crashing

From: robert
Subject: gtk build crashing

cvs update on 23rd Feb, I regularly get a crash (well an exit raher than a
crash) with the message

X protocol error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) on
protocol request 62

Under gdb I get
gdb packages/emacs/src/emacs
GNU gdb 5.2.1-2mdk (Mandrake Linux)

(gdb) run -name rajm
Starting program: /home/robert/packages/emacs/src/emacs -name rajm
X protocol error: BadGC (invalid GC parameter) on protocol request 62

Program exited with code 0106.

This is happening when using blackbox (0.65) as a window manager with multiple
workspaces and using keybindings to move between workspaces

It happens at the point when I change between workspaces and when (I
think) emacs is trying to update a buffer

I've not managed a minimal case so far but it is crashing at some point
virtually every time I run it - though sometimes not for 1hr or more after
starting

In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.11 (i686-pc-linux-gnu)
