hm i've absolutely no experience in emacs programming. so i don't know what
happens if i simply set inhibit_modification_hooks again after PRINTFINISH. it
fixes at least my abort problem. but i don't see were it is set to nil
again. (C-h v inhibit-modification-hooks shows me that's nil)

thanks for the help. but i think i haven't enough knowledge about the emacs
code, to really know what i'm doing. ;(

neither do i. i don't know if setting inhibit-modification-hooks really prevents
all GC.
anyways i'm able to run emacs cvs now ;-) thx
