Symptoms:

(browse-url-browser-function (quote
browse-url-default-macosx-browser))

does not work properly, at least on Mac OS X 10.1.5.  The default
browser is not launched.  If the browser is an Aqua-based browser and
is named by its path, the URL sent to it is incorrect having the
format of file://localhost.isp.ext/somepath/URL rather than the
correct http://www.server.ext/ URL


In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (powerpc-apple-darwin5.5)
 of 2003-11-28 on localhost
