mouse-autoselect-window interference with mouse drag modeline downward

While experimenting with 21.4 on wXP, I found that I could not drag
the modeline of a window downward while mouse-autoselect-window is set
to t. It seems that the same mouse movement out of the area of the
modeline is used to trigger both movement of the modeline downward and
selection of the buffer below the modeline. Selecting the buffer wins
and the modeline doesn't move. I confirmed this by setting
mouse-autoselect-window to nil and the problem goes away.


In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
 of 2003-08-21 on MIDASPSE17
