This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the address@hidden mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Display artifacts in small windows when scrolling. See the commented
recipe in the "Recent input" lossage below for details.

In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.6 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.2.1)
 of 2004-01-03 on lola.goethe.zz
configured using `configure '--prefix=/usr/local/emacs-21' '--with-gtk''

Recent input:
C-h i d m e m a c s <return> C-x 2 <down-mouse-1>
<drag-mouse-1> [I dragged the window to minimal size]
 <down> <down> <down> <down> <down> <down>
<down> <down> <down-mouse-1> <drag-mouse-1>
[Again I dragged the window to minimal size which is smaller than the
first one] <next> [Cursor winds up at the start of the buffer.
Strange, but not what I wanted to report] <down> <down> [The head line
"Emacs" appears in two different locations now, one overwriting the
other. Scrolling down repeatedly with <down> will also cause quite a
few similar artifacts to occur with following menu entries and headlines]
