and from the xbacktrace I suspect that this could be the culprit.
But then again there may be good reasons why the developer decided to
bind inhibit-quit to t.
It is correct for timer-event-handler to bind it to t.
If a timer handler calls a function that can wait a long time,
that is a strange thing to do, arguably a bug.
