I know it's a bug, whatever the cause.  That's why I reported the fact
to the appropriate bug address.  In most cases like that, I'd probably
have supplied a fix.

As I said in the report, it's a recent version from Emacs CVS.  As far
as I could tell at the time, it was the most recent.
