Nor do I without looking them up. I'll try to write something, if I

As far as I know, Emacs consistently uses capitalized mode and package
names, which happens to agree with the instructions for messages in
this case. That's what I've used for years -- following you, I
thought -- and apparently Gerd thought the same. As far as I know,
the documentation tips are silent on the matter, though.
