    Pasting non-Latin-1 text under X from the development version to 21.2
    (Debian stable) fails.  E.g. "?esky" appears as "address@hidden"
    (rendering the non-ASCII characters in ASCII for mail).

We can't fix Emacs 21.2 now.  Does it work in the current CVS version
of Emacs?

What is the situation in the RC branch?
