It's a _great_ idea if you're hacking on emacs.  I used to constantly be
annoyed by the task of trying to find in which source file an emacs C
function was implemented (I've always found TAGS very clunky to use, so I
never really used it very much), but now it's almost trivial.

If the 2MB buffer is a huge concern, then enable it with a variable, and make
the default `off'.

For me, 2MB is an insignificant amount of memory in something like emacs that
is important and which I only usally run once.
