gnu.emacs.help is not a good place to ask about bugs in CVS Emacs; I
redirected the thread to the proper forum.

It sounds like GC_MARK_STACK is undefined in the Cygwin build.  I
suggest to see what other x86 platforms did (grep for GC_MARK_STACK in
the src directory and in src/s and src/m subdirectories), and do the
same for Cygwin.
