paragraph-start definition conflicts with Emacs Info

The Emacs Info node "Paragraphs" states the following:

For example, in Fundamental mode, `paragraph-start' is
    `"[ \t\n\f]"', and `paragraph-separate' is `"[ \t\f]*$"'.

But paragraphs.el defines paragraph-separate as "\f\\|[ \t]*$"

Also, the same node states that

In Fundamental mode, but not in Text mode, an indented line also
    starts a new paragraph.

This statement is also not true. The regexp does not recognise
indentation as starting paragraphs, only blank lines.

This is with CVS Carbon Emacs:

M-x version RET
GNU Emacs 21.3.50.2 (powerpc-apple-darwin7.4.0) of 2004-07-12 on daviddpc.elec.qmul.ac.uk

Andrew.
