save place in files between sessions broken

Hi,

It  seems that  "options /  save  place in  files between  sessions" is  not
functioning :  option is checked  in my menu  but between 2 sessions  of the
same file the point is lost.

Back in august  03, 2003 i have  already reported that bug that  was fixed a
few days  later. I checked the correction.  I can't tell when  it stopped to
function, but it is no more functional.

(PS:  my  emacs version  tells  about  debian because  i  built  it with  the
emacs-snapshot package to produce debian .debs the code otherwise is genuine
cvs checkout.)

It seems that i am the only to use that feature sometimes :)
