(menu-bar-mode 1) causes beeps in *info* |

Today's GNU Emacs CVS snapshot, Sun, 2004 Nov 7 13:50 UTC
GNU Emacs 21.3.50.19 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.2.4)
started with
/usr/local/src/emacs/src/emacs -Q
Using the current revision 1.68 of easymenu.el, I hear beeps when
entering a lower level Info buffer when a menu bar exists.
However, when I revert to revision 1.65, the extaneous beeps no longer
occur.
According to the change log, lots has been done to easymenu.el since
revision 1.65 and I lack the time right now to try to figure out what
the connection is between the changes in easymenu.el and menu-bar.el.
I hope one of you who have lots of experience with easy menu can fix
it.
Presumably the bug comes from a change in one or more of:
easy-menu-get-map
easy-menu-get-map-look-for-name
easy-menu-lookup-name
easy-menu-get-map
easy-menu-always-true-p
easy-menu-convert-item-1
