I'd recommend you use the Arch archive of Emacs. After setting up GNU arch,
do the following to check out a the tree:
tla register-archive http://sourcecontrol.net/~miles/address@hidden
tla get address@hidden/emacs--cvs-trunk--0
To update the tree, just do:
tla star-merge --three-way
