I tested this with and without my Nov 16 change to Fvertical_motion,
and it didn't seem to make much difference.
Anyway, I just reverted that change and installed a different change for
the "truncate-lines problem" introduced by Richard's Nov 13 change.
But the problems you reported are still there.
The problems you see is related to position of point before/after
invisible lines as Stefan explained.
