Sending to address@hidden, in case Daniel is on vacation.
It would be good if someone would please check this, to make sure it's not a pb
in the latest version.
To check: just do C-x C-b and try to delete the first buffer listed (d, then
x). If it deletes OK, then there is no bug.
Thanks,
- Drew

Actually, it looks like it's only the first buffer listed that
will not go away when marked for deletion (`d') and then
executed (`x'). That is, if several buffers are listed and they
are marked for deletion, then executed, if one of these is the
first buffer listed (no matter how they are sorted), then that
buffer cannot be deleted and its `D' mark doesn't go away.

I can't test this for emacs -q myself, because I don't have the
new version of format-mode-line (C code) which is needed by the
current CVS version of buff-menu.el. But in my code, which I
believe I patched to include your fix, I now have the following
problem. Could you please see if this is also a problem in the
Emacs code?
The pb is that if I flag a buffer for deletion (D) in the
Buffer Menu, and then type `x' to execute the deletion, the D
flag does not go away, and the deleted buffer remains in the
list. If I then type `g', the D flag goes away, but the
suppposedly deleted buffer still remains in the list.
I'm wondering if this might be a result of your fix to save the
flags. If you don't see it in emacs -q + your fix, then I'll it
must be a pb with some of my own code.
