Unresponsive Emacs

From: Nick Roberts
Subject: Unresponsive Emacs
Date: Fri, 10 Dec 2004 00:42:54 +0000 (GMT)

Symptoms:

Over time Emacs seems to get very busy when I've not asked it to do anything.
The backtrace always looks (something like):

(gdb) xbacktrace
"generate-new-buffer-name"
"generate-new-buffer"
"ctext-pre-write-conversion"
"encode-coding-string"
"xselect-convert-to-string"

I've sent this e-mail from a separate invocation, but this configuration
should be pretty much right.

Nick
