display-splash-screen doesn't

start emacs with -q --no-site-file and then 

C-x 2
then select 'About Emacs' off the menu-bar - nothing at all happens. Also
appears to happen if the emacs frame is too small when there's only one
window.
Appears to need the gtk build for this problem
