Yes, after I read about it, I found that it works exactly as described. 
Since I stick to click-to-focus to have control to where my input goes 
it can happen that I open a file or follow a link unwillingly, so the 
other way 'round would be more sensible: short click is usual 
behaviour, longer click opens/follows.
