I checked out CVS Emacs on 2005-06-18, and it still flashes the whole
screen (and it does that frequently, for example when one scrolls the
buffer to its ends with the mouse wheel). I just want to ask if you
got any (positive or negative) feedback concerning the patch you
proposed (which I haven't tried, I just ran `./make-package
--self-contained')?
