Sorry, I don't quite understand: I don't think there's a binary that
is dumped using ldefs-boot.el, except bootstrap-emacs.  But that
binary is never used: the bootstrap process uses it to compile Lisp
files and generate loaddefs.el, then rebuilds Emacs and redumps it
using loaddefs.el.

So even if you don't install, there should be no binary dumped with
ldefs-boot.el anywhere in sight.  Unless you interrupt the bootstrap
process, which I don't think is the case.

What am I missing?
