I just tried to compile CVS on my XP machine with MSVC. It seems that all the makefile files have ^M at the end except the first 4 linesThat is, starting with the end of the line containing -*- Makefile -*- # Start of settings from configure.bat COMPILER=cl# End of settings from configure.batDid you take care of the line-ending format for the files in the `nt' directory? See the file nt/INSTALL for the gory details.
I didn't do anything different from what I've been doing every week for the last 5 months. Eventually I realized the relevant files must not have changed in that time so my incomplete CVS settings had not mattered. I've added -kb to that directory and all seems fine now.
Thanks
