    The last Lisp Manual that the FSF published (May 2000, for Emacs 21)
    is edition 2.6.  Richard Bielawski refers to the electronic version of
    the manual distributed alongside Emacs 21.{2,3,4}.  That versions says
    edition 2.8.

Thanks.  It was strange that we used 2.8 there, but we shouldn't use a
lower number than that that now.  I will set it to 2.9.
