The GTK+ file selection dialog does not show hidden files (files
starting with a dot) or directories and does not offer an option to
display them, so I cannot open them via this dialog.
My Emacs version is:
GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.6.4)
of 2005-08-13 on debian, modified by Debian
