Thanks for including replace-regexp-in-string in the elisp manual.
However, it seems to me that the entry is misplaced. Now it appears
in the node: Search and Replace. In the superior node: Searching and
Matching it says
* Search and Replace:: Internals of `query-replace'.
replace-regexp-in-string is clearly not an internal of
query-replace. So I believe it would be more appropriate to mention
this function elsewhere. I suggest the node: Regexp Search.
Or would it be better to change the description of the node: Search
and Replace in the superior node: Searching and Matching to
something more general? Right now, the node: Search and Replace
doesn't have an introductory paragraph saying that this node
discusses the internals of query-replace.
The node: Replace Match below the node: Match Data seems to be
misplaced, too. Wouldn't it be better to make it a subnode of the
superior node: Searching and Matching?
