I don't have a cpu problem. I think I should have said that doing this
across dsl or cable or modem is a real killer in interactivity.

21.3 works real nice they way I had things configured, but 22.0.50 is very
sluggish when editing.

For instance if I type in a " character the whole buffer is colorized, and
when I put the second " it colorizes again.

In 21.3 it colors that line and the next one. Then a long time later it will
continue on. this delay allows the second " to be added without a lot of
traffic.
