I struggled for
hours building CVS version. Apparently, arguments to cp (..etc) are
not in general quoted in the
presence of sh.
Therefore, the build wil break if the directory path containing emacs sources
includes a name
with
spaces.
This should perhaps
be prominently explained in nt/INSTALL ? Just a sentence...
My steps (FYI), from
within cygwin shell:
- install mingw
make, 3.80.0-3, change ming32-make.exe in c:/mingw/bin to
make.exe
- install
mingw-4.1
- export
PATH=/cygdrive/c/mingw/bin/:$PATH
- follow
instructions..
Could such a minimal
recipe also be included, please? The easier it is to set up, the more beta
tester you'll get!
This is particularly
important, because all the public information available seems to be very
confused.
