In the current CVS Emacs: 1) Do M-x grep followed by M-x compile in the _same_ buffer you get compilation results in a buffer called *grep*. 2) Do M-x compile followed by M-x grep in the _same_ buffer you get grep results in a buffer called *compilation*. Nick
