flyspell + longlines: hang/wait

I load a moderately-sized text file (here: 800 lines) and enable  
flyspell-mode.
When I then activate longlines-mode, Emacs seems to hang for about  
30-60 seconds before coming back to life.
The same thing happens when I just change the size of the frame the  
buffer is shown in (longlines-wrap-follows-window-size is t).

When I first activate longlines-mode (and then flyspell), everything  
is fine - until I deactivate longlines-mode, which is when Emacs  
stalls again.

Thanks to Ralf Angeli who pointed out the flyspell-mode connection (I  
first thought this was an AUCTeX bug.). From his e-mail I assume that  
the bug occurs on GNU/Linux, too.
