Symptoms:
On my GNU linux system the command man is not case sensitive.
Executing `man -w -a UiL' gives
/usr/X11R6/man/man1/uil.1.gz
/usr/X11R6/man/man3/Uil.3.gz
/usr/X11R6/man/man5/UIL.5.gz
even though there is no man page UiL. Consistent with this, the
emacs command man "UiL" gives me the above three man pages. However,
woman says "No match". (Of course, normally I will type woman "uil"
which will give me the first man page only and I will miss the other
two.)
Is this a bug or a missing feature? I would appreciate if there was
at least an option to configure this. And I suggest that the default
value of this option should give the case-insensitive behavior of
the man command.

If emacs crashed, and you have the emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/nfs/tfkp07/winkler/emacs/NEW/emacs/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2005-08-25 on tfkp07
configured using `configure '--prefix=/nfs/tfkp07/winkler/emacs/NEW'
'--with-gcc' '--with-pop' '--with-x' '--with-x-toolkit=athena'
'--x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib' '--x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include''
